OUR STORY
Our journey began with the origin of our name- CHEVAL, which translates to “horse” in French. The owners, Donna and Dr. Randy Kaufman, were originally looking for a property for their champion show horses and stumbled upon this breath-taking location. They fell in love with the estate that just happened to come with a winery!
THE OWNER
Donna Kaufman never imagined she’d own a winery, but couldn’t be happier with her exciting new venture. Donna has been showing horses for over 20 years and was on the hunt for the perfect location to build stables when she stumbled upon this hidden gem on Hill Valley Drive. It was love at first sight the moment she stepped onto the property. Donna’s passion for her winery is unmeasurable and she looks forward to welcoming all who visit!
VINEYARD MANAGER
Francisco Robles has been caring for our precious vines for over a decade since they were first planted in the ground. He plays a key role in the quality of our grapes & production of our fine varietals. Francisco is on the estate every day so be sure to say hello if you see him!
